I shall have to wait another few years until the market floods with ex-lease cars before I jump into a mk7 Golf R. Although I have spent a fair amount of time eyeing up some mk6 Golf R's local to me.

18 months until the lease cars hit the market. Deals ended a while back and some of  the cheap leasers have had their cars 6 months.

Also, worth remembering that leased cars are usually basic spec as it doesn't make sense to add expensive options to a cheap lease  :happy2:

Thank god for retro fitters then. :laugh: Business will be booming for them. What do people reckon the realistic price of a 3 year old base spec R will be when they lease deals end?

A small part of me hopes that the mk6 R owners also jump ship and a few more mk6 R's flood the market too at the same time. Seen the odd mk6 R drop as low as £15 so far...

Same here but I buckled and got a Scirocco in the mean time.

The bargain lease deals were based on 5k / year mileage. Even if there are loads on the market (some will get bought by the people leasing them). They will all be ~10k miles (1/2 average mileage) so they will still fetch decent money. It's going to be a popular used car, there will be plenty of demand for them which will drive up prices  :happy2:

Not an R....... But........

I have pushed the button on a LG GTD. Currently running a nearly 3 year old 218ps 125D Beemer (a very usable car!) Upset many a GTI/Ed30 in this :evilgrin:.

I do Fancy a change, and an upgrade in tech.

Options are:

5 Door
DSG
Dis PRO
Advanced Tele
18's,
climate screen
Dynamic chassis control
Dynaudio,
panoramic sunroof,
keyless entry,
rear view camera,
leather,
winter pack
Lane assist side scan with dynamic light assist

Went a touch overboard with the options....... Managed to get a Pretty healthy discount. Need the Diesel due to miles! Circa 500 a week.

One question ...... Ordering to receiving an order number? How long?

Got a fair bit of track car experience, in a prominent UK VW Series.
