Can i replace my metal wheel valves on my monza with any type of wheel valve or will this bring on my pressure warning light?
Sick of my rear tyre going flat, the pin inside the valve keeps sticking i think,

On my old gti I replace metal with normal as my alloys were corroding and had a rubbish seal on the metal ones... No problems what so ever... Tps I'm sure runs of the rotation speed or something

Passive TPMS reads from the ABS sensor, not from the valves. Active TPMS have much different valves, you know when you have it.
You can change your valves with no worries if they look like any other regular valve.

This! All cars should run this system sensor valves are a pita 3 years old and the seal breaks cos the rubber ring is perished and or the valve base and wheel is corroded.

you can only buy the metal wheel values from vw dealers. rubber values will not fit as I found out from 2 tyre specialist. had to buy 2 at 14 quid each. only needed 1 as the tyre was leaking air from the rim which was sealed.

Pretty sure rubber ones will fit your wheels

Thanks for replies, i have order some metal ones. Not vw ones just some of ebay. Hopefully they will do the trick!

Mine leaked on mine. I replaced the rubber seals with aircon o-rings. Worked a treat for months!
