Title: Any Gearbox specialists?

Wandering if anyone can shed some light on my gearbox issue?

The car is a 2006 1.6FSI, 6speed manual...51k on the clock... I'm Pretty sure my gearbox is knackered..

However trying to find a replacement is proving to be near impossible....

Problem is... I've found a few gearboxes for a 1.6FSI manual however the gearbox code is GVV whereas mine is HBM? Would anyone know if they're the same?

If your near Hayes -Heathrow my mate has a gearbox refurbish company been doing gearboxes for about 30odd years now
