So yesterday I changed my cam follower and PCV.
after I'd finished I started the car up and it did a weird stutery tick over for what felt like ages but was probably a few seconds before starting up. Now, I thought it was because I'd obviously disconnected the fuel lines to the fuel pump and maybe was to be expected. I turned the car off and on again and it started first time. So I thought nothing of it.
This morning however I thought it would have started first time because the fuel would be in the pipes from last night when the engine was running etc. It did the same ticking over before starting.
My first thought was the banjo bolt, it has a small hole running through the centre of the bolt to let the fuel through. Could this be missaligned so fuel is struggling to get through?
Or perhaps the other fuel line is done up to tightly?
Any thoughts?

Check the pump connector. Also check the battery ground.
-
I don't know what either of those are!

Check the pump connector. Also check the battery ground.
On top of the fuel pump the connector where the wire plugs in.
This could be an issue with the battery so check you have reconnected it ok.
-
Ok I'll check that connection.
Anything to check on the battery? I removed fuse 25 before I started, but I did put it back.

This is probably the problem. check the fuse. in future disconnect the battery don't touch the fuses.

Ok cheers dazz will do.

I really don't know. You shouldn't have had this problem after changing the cam follower.
But look at the post from Kiwi the first Possible Causes - Fuse(s) faulty
Can you hear the pump prime when you open the drivers door?
When i started mine up. I turned the key to the on position but did not start it left it for 10 seconds. Repeated this a few times.
-
Hopefully just a fuse...
I didn't prime it, just went straight to turning it on. Even if priming it does work now, I don't want to do it every time!
-
If i were you i would not drive it until i sort this code out which will probably sort the start problem.
-
I've already driven to uni today so I'l have to drive home again, and ive got to drive to Wales tonight! I'll check the fuses at lunch and hopefully that will sort the code out.
-
unless it was a temporary error caused by you pulling the fuse. Try clearing the error.

It seems to be starting up OK now, there's still around a second of ticking over before engine kicks in but I'm pretty sure that was the same as before.
Just wondering, is it not possible to accidentally get the banjo bolt aligned so that no fuel can get through?
