Title: Should it be like this?
Post by: so1o on May 07, 2015, 08:46:25 pm: I replaced my air filter in my standard 05 GTI and must say I have never seen one this bad. Is this normal?

Car has fvwsh so wondering if they skipped it.

According to my service book it was changed 15000 miles ago.

The pollen filter was just as bad. Very dirty with leaves etc and dust.

Post by: Airz182 on May 07, 2015, 08:53:31 pm: I changed mine pollen filter when i first got it, then decided to give it a blow out with air compressor 6-7 months later, end up buying a new one instead!!! Mine looked like it never been changed!!

Post by: so1o on May 08, 2015, 09:15:39 am: Luton. Only use the car for work. 10 miles a day. They guy I bought the car off worked and lived in London so that may be why it was so dirty.
