I have fitted nqs bbk to my edition 30 with 3mm st spacers and I now have a vibration through steering wheel over 70mph ?? Any ideas what could be problem ??
Cheers
-
Most probably it be your spacers mate...I've had the same problem before, changed to hubcentric spacers & no steering vibration afterwards
-
cheers for reply Dan. The St spacers I bought were from awesome Gti and are specific to the 57.1 bore of wheel hub, I had universal ones on before and vibration was much worse. what size and make were your hubcentric spacers ?? I also put 3mm longer wheel bolts on with new spacers.
-
Did you fit the spacers the right way around? With the flat surface facing outwards and the bit that looks like it's been countersunk facing in towards the hub? I but some on wrong once and it vibrated.

Spacers on right way???

Mate with a 3mm spacer the wheel should still sit on the hub you checked the balancing at all?
