Drove my mates car with them on and almost went through the windscreen :signLOL:
Not even 6 months old and only paid £400 for them with brand new carriers, bolts, pads and braided lines!
-
Wow bloody bargain that
-
Yeah his wheel fell off and scratched the caliper a bit so forge sent him some new brakes!
-
That is good service, when you get them fitted, get some pics up
-
Yeah pics please.
-
They are great brakes, i have front and rears on mine. You wont be dissapointed, especially at that price.
Was it only cosmetic damage on Steves caliper when his wheel came off?

Yeah there's 2 scratches on the caliper and there was a mark on the disc when he aired out and that's it, getting the disc skimmed and the company said it'll be fine!
-
Oh thats good then.
You'll be impressed without a doubt :happy2:
-
Didn't know they did a rear kit as well
-
Yh they do, they come with a seperate handbrake caliper as well.
Here are my rears, House of Kolor Brandy calipers and disk bells with charcaol grey forge logos. :happy2:

Wow they look excellent Del.What size discs are those
-
They are 330 rears. 356 front.
-
nice nice--do you know if my bbs ck 19" alloys et 44 8j would need a spacer on for my car
-
After looking on their website, it reccomends 18" wheels or bigger for the 356mm kit.
19" will be no problem but with the fact your offset is so high I would have thought a 5mm spacer.
But give forge a ring and speak to Kris. He'll help you out. :happy2:

I'm not sure about Cumbria Vag, i broke my leg 7 weeks ago and had to have it plated and pinned, I get my cast off on Thursday but i'm still not supposed to drive for another 6 weeks so I'll just see how i feel and how the physio is coming on. :ashamed:
-
Sorry to hear that Craig, broke my leg a few years ago so know how you feel mate..worst part for me was when I got a walkin pot on my leg and making you walk on it as it speed up the healing I got told.Hope you have a speedy recovery
-
Thanks mate :happy2:
Yh i'm a little worried about walking if i'm honest, but i'm sure i'll be fine. I have my own stag do in benidorm in 3 weeks so need to have a little mobility back :drinking:
-
Anyone Help?
-
Been looking at these but after doing some research seems they are cheaply made Chinese calipers branded forge? Anyone else heard this?
-
Heard this a few years back but I think forge being a big company wouldn't offer insufficient parts

Where are you based @maxitrol (http://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/index.php?action=profile;u=164)? I'm from Cockermouth originally, hoping to move back there in the next 12 months or so.

In fact I've just seen it's Richmond, that's quite a long way along the a66

Just a few miles but used to travelling up that way :signLOL:
