looks good that mate , what you doing with your mtm s ?
-
Looks spot on mate but I would say that lol
-
looks good that mate , what you doing with your mtm s ?
not sure yet
-
gaz have you a pic of your milltek tailpipes ? keep thinking mine are too far under the car !!
-
mine are different to yours pal, they are the slash cut type, mine stuck out to far, I ended up underneath the car with angle grinder and cut an inch off the centre section to get it spot on. You could probably get a bit more length  by undoing the clamp near the ARB and sliding it out a bit if your not happy with it. It is suprising how much they expand when hot though isn't it
-
looking nice gaz, better than i thought! ;)
-
Looks really good.
Whats the difference you've noticed? The weight or back on 18's?
-

I know what your saying, the MTM's look great IMO so the TD's have a hard job to convince me. If I was going from the std rims to these I would be more than happy, Is it me or does it look lower?

probably a bit of both

yes , when they are hot it look brill but when cold not so good but i suppose it has to be like that for this reason , all the boxes are hanging right and clearing the arb s and other bits so must be ok
-
Love it Gaz, looks mean as fook!
-
Looks good mate, you should defo sell the MTM's very cheap price!!
-
YES gaz very moooody love it, love black wheels on the move you see right through'em
brill, ticked my box
bill
:happy2:

your idea of cheap and mine are probably miles apart
-
looking good gaz, i prefere the mtm's though!
-
That looks mint bud :happy2: Great wheels and for the difference they make and the money they cost they are a bargain. The fact they look mint too is just the icing on the cake
What did you give for them Gaz? As my mate will be buying some more once I get my car back and mine come off his S3 back on to my Golf.
-
Looking scweeet pal. :pomppomp:
I hope your keeping your others as well though.
-
not bad at all mr b :happy2:
-
I'm liking them mate. looks spot on.
I can see ur dilemma though, both sets of wheels look great!!
-
Wow! I think that they suit the S3 far more than the GTI!! Very nice Gaz.
-
cheers for the comments fellas, I can't make my mind up, like I said they've a lot to live up to because the MTM's look so right IMO, but the TD's do bring a sharpness to the handling and performance that I've never experienced, espcially now I've had them re-balanced after the numb nuts that fitted the tyres at weekend put the balance weights in exactly the opposite place they needed to be :scared:, felt like the rear diff had gone on the way to work this morning, but had them re-balanced and everything was sweet on the way home, as the guy in the S5 found out :booty:
-
^^^ I know what you mean. On mine it took me a few weeks to 'appreciate' the look of the TD's.
-
Its not that they look bad, I think if I went from the std rims to the TD's I'd be chuffed to bits, but its how good the MTM's look thats the nice problem to have. Just have to be a spoilt brat and keep both :happy2:
-
Nothing wrong with keeping both. I have fitted me arse bungs on the underside, bought myself a trolley jack and torque wrench+ padded socket. I can change them all in 15 mins :pomppomp:
On the day before track days or a good blast, i am looking forward to doing all my checks, changing the pads and wheels out ready for the next day. :jumping: :jumping: :jumping:
-
what you need is a cordless impact wrench, get that down to 10mins
-
Just do what Hurdy does Gaz and have 3 sets..
-
yeah baby, yeah. The TD's look brilliant on white cars too
The more you use them, the more you appreciate and learn to love them
-
The MTM's are def better, but if you are selling them let me know Gaz :happy2:
-
Now not being a big fan of the TD's I was curious when I saw your thread and I've gotta say Gaz..................................
They look fookin mint pal! :happy2: :jumpmove:
