Evening all.
Anyone had any experience with unbranded downpipes?
Seen this on eBay and looks OK. Lifetime warranty with it aswell.

Also comes with fitting kit and heat wrap.

No experience personally however wouldnt it be easier MOT time to save a little longer and get a downpipe with a 200cell sportscat to save swapping it every year
That is unless you have a "friendly" mot tester!
-
This is my predicament Stu.
I've been trying to hang on for a eurojet so I can swap the cat in and out but they don't come up often.
Hopefully I'll be able to find a friendly mot man.

A mate of mine uses this exact downpipe on his car. It's decent for the price. His only issues were that the mounting prongs needed shortening and bending slightly to fit. However the heat wrap is some really cheap nasty stuff and the I would never use the gasket it comes with.

I bought one on eBay payed £250 with a cat that reduced the same an can't fault it made 356bhp an 415lbf stage 2+ was made in Germany by team2fast I think it was called good quality! Have a look for them.

I think a few members have the above - that is well cheap!!

Put one of these decat pipes on mine 5/6 months ago. Had no problems at all. Bargain if you ask me!

I've got a Bcs cat back exhaust and wanted to know how difficult it would be to fit the above sports cat. What do you think? Thanks
-
Bum
-
Bump! Lol
-
Can't see it being to difficult really, a garage should be able to do it, possible it may need a bit of alteration.
-
If you get the ebay version which stays at 3" instead of ending with a reducer then it might be easier to mate it to a different cat back :happy2:
-
Thanks guys. I'll speak to my mechanic and get his thoughts. I've had a stage 1 r tech map done so do you think I'll need to visit Hinckley again if I get a sports car?
-
I'd get an intake after the exhaust then get it done.
I've got an intake now, trying to source a turbo back then get it mapped.
-
wasn't looking to get a stage 2. ive got a carbonio intake and pipercross air filter at the mo with pre-cat delete and cat back exhaust. I was just hoping to get a sports cat and maybe tweaking the map if required. Getting an induction kit means removing the engine cover etc and didn't want to go down that route.
Do you think i'd need to get it mapped again if i fit a sports cat?
-
Couldn't tell you for certain mate, try searching or posting in the performance section.
I'd imagine the remap would make some difference tbh
