Hi everyone,

I very recently bought my black 06 GTi. It's in good condition with some decent extras, am very happy with it.
Can't wait to get modding it after exams are over at uni!

If anyone has any tips of things that need replacing on a GTi that's done 65k miles then I would be very grateful.
It's got full service history and cam belt and water pump have been done.

Welcome  :happy2: plenty of threads with the 'common faults/things to change' , I'd change the DV, cam follower and maybes check if the PCV is working correctly. Think they the 3 main things really.

Thanks for the reply. I will get those bits sorted after my exams.

Also after a decent condition RCD-510 DAB if anyone has one / knows someone with one for sale.

Good luck with your exams dude. Look in the for sale section regularly but Im not sure how often they pop up as I don't really look their myself but I'm sure you'll get one on ebay.
