Hi guys
Got an intermittent misfire with the car. i read it with vagcom few weeks ago due to slight misfire while driving to work. no fault codes were showing, so used measuring blocks to see if anything came up (sat on idle). multiple misfires were showing, so changed the plugs the next day to ngk 7's. problem solved. last week, every time i put foot down it would stutter and lag then boost. sometimes even no boost at all just constant misfire. so plugged vagcom back in, again no fault codes for misfire. used measuring blocks again for misfire detection whilst blipping the throttle on and off and i was getting like 30 odd misfires on cylinder 1,5 on cylinder 2, 20 odd on cylinder 3 and 0 on cylinder. moved the coilpacks around to see if there any change and nothing. im just wondering if anyone else had this kind of problem?
also to mention i did get a fault code about the n249 and there was a code for the intake manifold runner control which i did the basic reset thing that i saw on rosstech wiki.
cheers

Change the coil packs if you havnt already? R8 upgrades isn't a bad maintenance item to do plus it can rule them out as possible issues. Am no guru just a suggestion to eliminate.

yeah its a good suggestion. but i don't want to chuck loads of money at it and find it doesn't solve the problem. i think it might be a faulty injector. but i don't no how to check for faulty one's. does anyone no how?
cheers

VCDS scan. Def the best way to check for faults. Check the Forum to see if anyone in your area will do it for beer money.
Or get a local specialist to do it.
Or invest in a cable yourself!...
