Title: This probably the stupidest question

I have a gti '08 2.0t and i was wondering if while im driving, if i can shift from Drive to Sport and back? The manuel doesnt say anything about that i can find so far but i feel stupid asking. But help please?

Yes, well I hope so as I do it all the time. I sometimes go between all of the while driving if I get bored  :rolleye:

Yea no problems doing this. I always do the switch to sport and back, maybe into manual using the stick, sometimes using the paddles also.

I pop mine into sport when joining a motorway or dual carriageway just to build up speed and then back into D.  Have a tdi dsg so pickup isn't as quick as a gti  :)

Do i need to let off the gas when shifting?

I pop mine into sport when joining a motorway or dual carriageway just to build up speed and then back into D.  Have a tdi dsg so pickup isn't as quick as a gti  :)
