Has anyone ever had this problem?
I don't mean the "gala" setting on the radio that turns it up slightly as you drive faster, I mean when driving along it just turns the volume right the way up!
It had happened 4 or 5 times in the last couple of days. I have a RCD510dab with the multi function steering wheel.

Hah! That's one way of doing it I guess! :signLOL:

This is the best resolution I have ever heard of!
Well done haha

I wondered what the gala setting was, my satnav voice was very low on mine so I fiddled with everything and now I have noticed that the volume of my stereo increases with speed but I didn't know which setting had caused it  I really should read the owners manual

I got fed up with fixing the thing, tried to ignore things that annoyed me and even made it look better by making it into a gti rep, but I just got fed up and traded it in!
Stripped loads off it today and am sorting through, sold loads of bits off it today so got loads of others to go, will be making an advert up with the bits I am selling pretty soon, took all the pictures and forgot about the daft username tag that is needed in the pic

There is a setting you can choose, and was likely done by someone at a previous time, where the stereo automatically adjusts volume with the speed of the car....louder when fast and lower when slow. There are three levels for this function. It explains this in the stereo section in the manual. Since you resolved by selling...I posted this for future reference :happy2:
