Title: timing chain golf tsi

So I can hear the chain rattling took it to a vw specialist and they said parts and a day labour 725 quid does this seem about right? Also has anyone done this job themselves is it hard?

A friend of mine had a quote from VW and it was well over £800... So that's about right.
He eventually got it done by a small indy for around the £700 mark.
Apparently its a PITA to do, unless you have access to various specialist tools and are pretty good yourself. It has been done by members on here....
