Can anyone point me in the right direction for some adjustable top mounts for Bilstein B14s?
Cheers

Have you had a look in the mods section.

Does anyone have a picture of these ground control top mounts installed? As I need to replace the factory ones I'm thinking of upgrading them instead combined with a set of PSS10's.
-
I had ground control top mounts fitted. They make a bit of noise compared to oem but allow for a lot of adjustment, great for fast road / track setups.
Check my build thread, should be some pics
-
Cheers Mike
Working backwards I got to page 130. Any idea what time you had them fitted? I would work it out if I knew a month/year
-
So sorry haha, I had the 1st post indexed but unwed to re-do it.
I'll take a look

I find using Google search returns better results than forum search. I add the forum address in the search then whatever I am searching for

That's those sh*tty track rod ends making the noise.

I'm doing a new Ground Control order in the next couple of weeks to let me know if you want more adding to the order.

Hi Alex
Great, thanks! Do they fit to the MK5 ok without any cutting?
How much are they delivered?
Cheers
Mat

Did you check the pics Dude?
-
Hi Mike
Yes I did thanks, They look great but couldn't see a picture of them fitted to the car? I was thinking if any of the suspension tower needed cutting or drilling to make them fit. All of your pictures have the plastic scuttle tray fitted which covers them over which is a shame if they pop out of the bay. It would look great!
-
The strut tops aren't as visible in the Leon as they are in the Golf though :-) As you say mine are hidden under a plastic cover
-
Cheers, To be honest it's not much better in the golf! I will have to get busy with the laser cutter
-
I'll nip round and you can make mine more visible too lol
-
Haha. Thankfully I have access to lots of tools on a daily basis. Laser, CNC etc so I made lots of custom bits for my Mk2 golf. I also have a scanner that scans parts in and I can replicate them. When I remove the door cards I will be scanning the profile of them so I can make lightweight new ones :happy2:

Like a farah arm? :D

Sorry for bumping, but are the bearings in the Ground Control mounts spherical or OEM balls? It's hard to tell in the pics? If the former, how long to the bearings last?
-
I would presume its a thrust type ball bearing setup..... just a guess tho. Speak to @vRSAlex (http://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/index.php?action=profile;u=1981) he will know.
-
Cheers, will do

@Pudding (http://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/index.php?action=profile;u=10733) they use two sets of bearings. The spherical in the centre holds the damper rod, the outer bearing holds the spring. The outer is an oem BMW bearing.
I'm 5 years into mine and no issues at all.

Aha, gotcha. Do the ones you stock fit the standard / VWR springs? I notice on their website they do different options for spring diameter.
Cheers
