Just watcned it, interesting stuff.
Ive always been surprised just how little oil my VW TFSI seems to use compared to others.

Yeah it was quite interesting and you would of thought audi would of just done the repairs as they know there is a fault

Even the recommended oil consumption was a shock 600miles to 1/2 ltr My tdi golf used 1ltr in 80000 miles :driver:

I think it was mainly the audi used versions.
Mine uses the sqr root of FA too.... hopefully that continues!

The audi engines with the oil issues are different from our cars, they have chains instead of belts like the mk6 GTI's :happy2:

Poor block manufacturing, a batch of soft blocks with bores that wear quicker, not much can be done tbh

The original problem so I'm led to believe is they changed the process in how they honed the bores in an attempt at making less drag/more power/mpg.
The majority of the cars that get fixed get new Pistons/rings the blocks never get changed :smiley:
