I have an 08 gti with dsg , when I select reverse the idle rpm picks up briefly to 1100 then drops back , but can make reversing a little hasty , is this a characteristic, I'm a new owner

I have a 2010 DSG Mk6 R and it doesn't do that when I select reverse.
-
No nothing like that happens on mine
-
Never happened to me either.

Late 2007 dsg I have and mine didn't do it, what mileage has it done and has the gearbox been serviced ?
-
51k miles , I've only had it a month , dsg serviced last year at about 45k , did some testing this afternoon , it only seems to do it from cold . Also my drive is on a slope so I reverse up a slight incline out of drive , doesn't do it on the flat ... Mmmm

This is our second golf dsg, my wife had a brand new golf GT dsg and was always hard to reverse off the steep drive but neither spike when selecting reverse, take and upload a video of it doing it, will just check mine as well and compare,
