Title: GT TDi 170 DSG
Post by: Adamski on June 08, 2015, 09:41:30 am
Morning all

Here's my 2007 GT TDi DSG... this photo taken the day I picked it up in beautiful October sunshine:

It was in good condition, although three of the wheels were riddled with white worm. The car was originally specced with Xenon lights, full heated leather and 18'' diamond cut Charlestons. With the weather already having taken a turn I decided to put my modification plans on hold until the currant bun came out again in the spring.

I did manage a couple of small mods though... the first was done when I slid down this hill into the side of a bus. Fortunately not too much damage sustained:

The scuffs polished out, leaving just a couple of marks where I'd tickled the bus's wheel nuts.

I managed a further couple of uneventful months before a Peugeot driver decided the side of my car would look better with their 207 embeded in it:

So away it goes for a couple of new doors and some straightening out. I took this opportuninty to get all four wheels properly repaired and refinished.

So here we are today. Current plans are a badly needed set of centre caps (should be here this week), an R32 rear valance with GTi lower cut-out, a smoothed GTi grill set, colour coded front spoiler (maybe Ed 30) and a new head unit to replace the standard RCD300.
