I have APs as well. They're well priced, a lot better than the stock items and the ride comfort is pretty much the same as stock albeit a tiny bit firmer.

iv never ran them i use fk silverlines but they go low, the ride is decent but not great as i run mine stupid low i think i got them for £400

the lower you go the worse the ride so when i ran them high it was a pretty good ride TBH and thats with me removing the helper spring to get even lower

For the price the ride is never going to be amazing but they certainly do the job

PM @DanMaytee (http://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/index.php?action=profile;u=8130) he runs them and could give you a better idea of them  :happy2:

I run Fk Ak coilovers on my edition 30 and for the price of them and what I use my car for I can't complain, decent coilovers for little money.

If you want half decent coilovers then you'll have to spend a minimum of £400, if you want cheap coilovers that go low but ride horribly then get FK/JOM.

Had Apex RDX on my previous Golf. Got them for £420 and ride was near factory just slightly firmer and they went quite low.

Fk Coilovers for £180, might not be the best ride but cant grumble at the price  :happy2:

I've had jom and FK coil overs fitted to previous cars and there were quite a rough ride. As said above the £200ish coilovers aren't to clever if you still want some comfort.

I had a set of coilovers from a company called v-maxx fitted to my old Passat 1.8t and there were really good. Went nice and low, nice firm ride but far from uncomfortable. I'd recommend them to anyone on a budget. There priced between FK/Jom and AP coilovers.

For a good balance on looks/ performance and comfort then £400 is about the cheapest you'll get any. As said the cheaper ones won't give you a good ride, I had JOMS on my old fabia and they looked good and handled quite well but if I went for a drive just after a meal I wanted to vomit.
