Title: Alloy wheel cleaner Help
Post by: Kam88 on June 09, 2015, 05:48:31 pm
Hi everyone i bought my edition 30 a while ago and the previous owner had the wheels powder coated but never really looked after them. After cleaning them numerous amount of times it has a lot of brake dust build up between the spokes i can't get it off with anything. I don't want to sand it down does anyone know any good alloy wheel cleaner that will get rid of this strong build up ??? without actually damaging the powder coating ?

You need a specific fallout remover like Carpro IronX, they also do a paste which is good for putting on build ups on corners as it sits for a while and reacts better. There's a few others but IronX is the best one (I've tried nearly all of them)

Bilberry is just a maintenance cleaner, it's fine using it weekly and on sealed wheels but even neat it will never get that off.
