Title: Fixed Price Servicing offer
Post by: Tarmac_Terrorist on December 10, 2009, 09:46:46 pm
Got a letter from my local dealers offering 2 years (or 2 services) whichever sooner, Time & Distance regime plus 2 years MOT's for £299.
Includes 1 brake fluid change which you would need too. Obviously excludes Long Life oil which I usually upgrade to so I would need to pay extra for this.
The scheme is administered via VW finance so probably available through other dealers I should imagine.

Seemed a fair deal for a 3 year old car

Im in the process of negotiating a similar deal with my local dealer. They are offering me 3 years servicing, MOTs and Cam Belt change for circa £740. Apparently the cam belt change is about £500 :xmassmiley:

I've got the price of a cam belt change today including a new water pump. I was originally quoted over £500 but they quoted me £415 inclusive. I got him to write it on a business card for me.

On the subject of longlife oil, isn't it used for T and D serving now.

Which dealer is that prepree?
My dealer originally quoted £299 today and then claimed the GTI was excluded from that particular pricing offer as it's more labour intesive than some models.

My belt is not due until May but if I get the price right i'll get it done sooner.  :happy2:

Ive just arranged my fixed price servicing contract, ive got 3 years servicing, 3 years MOTs, 10% off any work carried out and 10% off parts. All for £352 which I think is a bargain! I have to pay £80 deposit as ive just had my first service and MOT the balance is paid in monthly instalments of £13.60 over 20 months! :xmaspresent: :happy2:

My dealer has its cambelt change for £280, but they don't change any tensioners, rollers or the water pump.  I negotiated all of it for £380 with a loan car, I and picked it up earlier.

Yeah all the oil is the same now, all VW group from 2002 should now use 504/507.00 oil.
