Title: oil choice

Hi,
Apologies if this has been covered many times.
Do people stick with castrol edge 5w30 as their preferred choice or is it just "marketed" as the on to use and any synthetic 5w30 will work?

if your time and distance any vw502 fully synth will actually be ok. 504 is a long life oil.
Ive gone 5w40 vw502.
