As well as this forum, is there any other places I should be advertising my car?
Do you guys find eBay, auto trader worth spending money on?
Cheers

Auto trader for me. Wide audience and no email/text time wasters.
-
I sold my old car on my local FB car selling page, worth a shot plus it's free :happy2:

Autotrader has always got me a sale when used, though my ED30 sold on here without an official advert.
I would buy a pay'n'go SIM if putting your number online, you can always give the buyer your usual number, but keeps it away from search engine spiders etc.
my mate must get ten PPI type calls a day as he has no qualms sticking his number on forums, Gumtree, ebay ads.

Interesting. I'll try Autotrader. Good tip with a pay sim.
Any constructive comments on my ad ?

Auto trader for defo, wider demographic searching for what you are selling. Many selling stats like the bay and yes it will cost you to list although not as much as eBay.
-
Just taken a look at Autotrader, £37 for 2 weeks ....
ebay charges £15.
-
But with ebay dont you end up paying selling fees as well as listing fees.

I sold my M3 about 3 weeks ago.
Advertised it on Autotrader, Pistonheads and M3cutters.
When I questioned potential buyers where they had seen
the add nobody said Autotrader.
Most viewed it from Pistonheads.
M3cutters was 2nd.
In think autotrader didn't help and just lost me £55. :sad1:

But with ebay dont you end up paying selling fees as well as listing fees.
Vehicles sales are treated differently. Also you can sell in their classifieds which are fixed fee at £15.

Ebay is a good place to sell most things , have sold 3 cars and a motorbike on there . Pistonheads , Edition38 , Autotrader too ....
With an Edition30 i would concentrate on VW/Audi forums .... Sold mine on here , price it right and it sells quickly .

I sold my ED30 on Motors.co.uk its free and i sold the car within the week :happy2:

Looking for some opinions on my sale - not getting many enquiries.
What do you think? Have I been too negative in my advert ? Price too optimistic ?
Cheers

Knocked £500 off - hopefully it'll attract the next owner.

On Gumtree and motors.co.uk
