Title: 2004 mk5 golf 2.0 tdi steering rack

hi need bit info
steering rack on car needs replacing, guy local to me has a rack for sale local to me.
rack is from audi a3 2005 unsure engine ?
rack for sale has part number 1K2909144E
any advice if will be straight swap ?
