Title: Door lock

Need a new front door lock module for a 55 plate gti , was going to get one from eBay for £31 as vw want £150 want to know if anyone has brought one from eBay and was it any good ? Cheers

I've fitted about six I've bought off EBay to different vehicles - one gave me a right run around failing intermittently in the locked closed position but the supplier just sent another out.

Yes the replacement was fine but double check the install before closing the door just use a screw drive to set the lock.

Personally id be fitting a genuine one that is gauranteed to last a few years rather than risk doing the job twice!
Surely get a genuine item less than £150 off ebay or from tps etc
Just my 2 pence mate  :happy2:

£145 tps or £31 for a eBay one with a years warranty , think I will take a gamble  :signLOL:

In terms of visual quality externally the EBay one looks no different but the saving as stated is worth the effort.
