Title: Cornish Newbie Intro

Howdie all

Just checking in, purchased an 05 MK5 Gti in blue, one previous lady owner and 55k on the clock with full  history. Loving the handling and build quality and I'm keen to get a few niggles sorted which I hope the forum van help with.

It's got bubbly front wings which VW are saying the previous owner 'neglected' and are refusing to cover under warranty!

Rattling Mintex pads in the rear calipers anyone come across this?

Anyway looking forward to joining the community.

Previous rides are all hatches with a few exceptions and the Gti is shaping up to be the best: AX GT, Clio 16v, Pug 306 Gti6, Vauxhall VX220, Renault Megane Sport Cup, BMW 330i Touring and now Golf Gti

Hi welcome along, I've always found mintex pads to be a crap fit (to big) so I used to just file a tad bit of paint off until they sat in snug. I've stopped using them now but maybes the person that fit them filed to much off? Or the little clips things have gone walk about.

Welcome... I'm from Cornwall aswell! Get some pics up so I can spot you out and about... (Not exactly a large county 'ey ;)
