Only a quick pick i'm afraid chaps, i'll be taking some better ones this weekend if i get chance, with the other 2 Mk2's :confused:
I'm after some Bentley splits at the moment, so if i can get the Monza's sold i'll be able to afford them :drool:
Other than that, black badges, a bloody good detail, re-map, milltek and probably some V3's.

Yeah i wanted a red one really, since it was first launched. I quite like the white but it'd be constantly dirty, i think if you have a white car, for it to look nice it needs to be clean constantly and i just dont get time.
No, must be the light or the way the pic was taken, bodywork is really good actually, its looking a bit sorry for its self there as its dirty, not as dirty as it is now though :signLOL:
Really need to find a pro detailer in Oxfordshire to sort it out :sad:

thanks for all your comments chaps, as of next week it'll be back in the garage for a bit of a rest, i've done 10k in 4months in it now so i think i'll go back to one of the mk2's for a while. Plus it gives me chance to sort wheels and other bits i want to do :jumping:

Both are in the body shop at the moment, i pick the 20vt up this weekend but to give you an idea of what they are like, here's my 8v which is now dead and stripped thanks to terminal rust :sad:

My 20vt is a bit chavvy at the moment as its how it was when i bought it, its being put back to the standard 90 spec look but here's an engine pic:

The 16v is having a replacement sill and the bumper is being re painted next week so that should be mint after that and a good machine polish :jumpmove:

Great purchase, Red is one of the two best colours that really make the GTi stand out more at a distance.
Just gotta keep ontop of the red and its notorious soft paint :sad:

the black 20vt is, the exterior is going back to stock this weekend, i've been wanting to do it since i bought the car, wish i wasnt selling it now :laugh:

coilovers will be ordered next month.
i didn't really want to go so big but they came up cheap and i think they are sweet :jumpmove:

What are they, they look mint, do you think it needs lowering?

i think that black one is on standard suspension so yes i think it needs dropping alittle, i plan to get it low on the back by adjusting the camber a touch.
should be pretty nice once i've got them on and its sitting right.

Tell me about it :grin: they need a refurb though, so i'm thinking of painting the accents metalic grey like the monza's, then mirror polishing the faces and getting them powdercoat lacqured 8)
i'm going to have to contain my excitement until i have tyres so i can fit them though :sad:

can't fault you pal, keep us posted, really looking forward to seeing that, what size tyres you lookin at the 30 profile I guess. Of course some of the purists won't like it, but you gotta try stuff :happy2:

i know, its like 17's on a mk2 :grin:
it's not going to handle as well as the 18's thats for sure, but, if i can get it sat right on the coilovers and get some negative camber in on the rear, i think it'l look nuts!
will have to be 225/30/20 by the looks of things.
I think for now im going to do them all matt black then in the spring i'll get them polished/diamond cut 8)
