Title: chrome light trim for mk5?

anybody know where you can get one of these?

Some chrome ones are actually gloss coated chrome which to be honest looks cheapy.  Matt chrome is better and iirc the oem ones are also matt chrome.

One other thing... The plastic panel on which the light and dimmer switch is on is also scratched a bit from previous owners scratchy fingers, anyone know the part number for this and if it's an easy job to replace. Just looks like a panel held in place with clips behind to me

How is the china oem compared to german oem mat chrome switch?

If you receive a matte finish I think the quality is better on those, the genuine VW Chinese market ones are decent and will have matte finish, then there are the generic copies which aren't so good. The switching on the genuine Chinese market ones is good, but not quite as positive switching that the EU/US market ones have that are made in Spain/Mexico

This is the light switch I bought... Arrived quickly, decent quality and the matt trim matches like a mofo  :happy2: well easy to fit too
