Title: Nanodrive 5w40...?
Post by: AJG09 on June 25, 2015, 11:13:15 pm
Quick question...

I see alot of you mention millers nanodrive 5w40 oil... I'm just putting my car through a service so I know for peace of mind everything is done.

Is this the best oil to use? Car has 100,000 on the clock.

Or would any oil be fine and I'm just over thinking it haha

Cheers guys

I've just bought an Ed 30,
Prior owner had serviced it around 500 miles ago.
I have just had the 40k VW DSG gearbox oil and filter changed and have had the car fully serviced and inspected. I used Millers Nano oil as I've heard it's best but mine is stage 2+ tuned so may need the extra lube that this oil supplies.

Millers is probably the best, but I think it's a bit of overkill in a standard GTI.  I really doubt that you'll notice any difference than, using Castrol Edge, which is also a very good oil for a GTI.

Use millers oils nanodrive cfs 5w40 in standard GTIs as well as big asre modded K04 and Hybrid cars and no it's not overkill. Usually a good deal to be had from Opie, discount code somewhere just by mentioning the forum.
