Title: Few falt codes
Post by: robert1 on June 26, 2015, 05:33:53 pm
hey,

 I have a Mark 5 Golf GTI, 55 Plate (February 06)

had an engine warning light coming on every now and again, but its getting more regular, taken to a garage and they just re set it saying I'm probably driving too hard (a lot of my driving is done in the city)...

anyway, I finally got a code reader, and I got these two
 "01089 - Switch for tensioning Strut Stowed (F204) - Sporadic 002-Lower"
 "00665 - Seat Belt Warning Light (K19) - sporadic 002-Lower Limit Exceeded"

any help on what may cause this? the car runs fine but this keeps coming back

and a 2nd lot that i didn't know about! but testing and its right, my alarms not working properly, i get the following codes

 "01135 - Interior Monitoring Sensors - sporadic 004-No Signal/Communication"
 "01134 - Alarm Horn (H12) - sporadic 004-No Signal/Communication"
 "00608 - Load State Sensor (G119) - static - No define"

for this, the horn doesn't sound and the sensors don't work, locking the car, leaving the window open and waving arm around does nothing, leaning down and opening the bonnet, makes the lights flash, that's it. the fuse F17 is fine, and this is all i could find linked to that in the fuse, any other ideas on what this is?

 Thank you in advance!

Try that for your first error code. Don't have a clue about the rest lol

I had the alarm horn error. I ended up removing the wheel well liner and found the alarm horn was in pieces. But the interior sensor still functioned.

As mentioned, the alarm siren will have gone. I replaced three between my mk5's over the years.

thanks Ricky, reading through it now :P

as for the alarm, does the alarm horn dyeing stop the interior monitors from working?

Not with mine. I did a test locked the car with the window down waited a while then waved my hand inside. Lights flashed but no horn.

hmm waving my arm does nothing, only way I can get the lights to flash is lean in and open the bonnet
