Title: MDI Upgrade

Hi all,

I've bought an Iphone 5/6 cable for my mk6 so I can charge and play music through the MDI. It's more for charging but would prefer this to work fully.

Which Firmware do I need to download for this cable to work? It's the green collared one so it needs the correct firmware to work. Where as I believe the white collared one doesn't require upgrades.

My mk6 is a 2010 model registered in December so it passes the 22 week notice and it will have the factory 2010 firmware on the MDI at the moment. I know how to update it but not sure on which firmware software I will need for this cable to work fully, can I just go straight to the 2012 firmware or do I need to upload 2011 or not? unsure.

Hi Beattie,

My GTD is a WK38 2011 build and currently on H13 0240 which I believe is the highest Rev you can have for a pre 2012 build.
