Hi all, just about to set off to pick a bottom end up for my GTi, gets a phone call of a mate and he's come across a complete tfsi lump everything there minus the turbo it's a BWA engine
It's going ridiculously cheap but the cambelt has snapped on it
I've got a complete fully functioning head here. Obviously I'll do my best to inspect it on viewing
Just need to no if anyone's had this happen and if the bottom end was still ok?
I'm literally leaving in 30 mins and I've got 2 that I could go and get
The price difference is massive. Help please lol

yes had a bwa that the belt snapped (bolt fell out of the waterpump into belt) at 70mph on m25, owner didn't dip the clutch either :surprised:
didn't even bend all the valves and pistons were barely marked, i'd double check pump / chain before fitting though

Thanks! Gonna be a cheap fix on my car of this one is ok... Fingers crossed

good luck :happy2:

Thanks for the snappy reply earlier. Went and looked at the engine, not much I could check so just gave it a few turns over and it all felt fine.
Took the risk and bought it as I couldn't leave it at the price he wanted for it.
Anyway got it home and took the head off straight away.
And it's all fine, couldn't be happier!
