Hi Guys
I would like another key for our 2007 golf gti,
Whats the best place to get them I have vagcom can that be used to code the key or should it be done at VW ?

Vw will cost you a fortune for spare keys safer to try a local lock smiths they can usually do them for around £100 ! That was the quote I got for my last car which was an audi a3

VW need to do it, unless you can find someone with VAG-Tacho to do the immobiliser bit for you.

Timpsons inside morrisons also some of those little kiosks at shopping centres will do them I have a fella who operates from Homebase car park and hes done 2 keys for me One for Movano £90 Perfect considering Vauxhall wanted to strip the ecu out and shaft me for £1200 Also had a key for the golf done 2 years ago exactly as vw but 1/2 price He gets his kit from http://hickleys.com/

VW quoted me about £250 for new key fob and key to be programmed to your car

£35 Virgin key off eBay. £10 cutting it and I can code it. Only cost me £45.
