Title: Alarm wouldn't switch off!
Post by: mrzed on July 02, 2015, 05:26:16 pm
Any help please...leaving work, pressed the fob to unlock the car, alarm went off, got in, started the engine, alarm still going off, switched engine off, got back out and tried to switch it off, it didn't, it then went off for about 10 secs and started again..in the end I started driving to the local stealers with it on but it stopped after about a minute, hasn't gone off again, so I've driven home but darent lock the car for fear of it going back off... Any ideas what it could be?
Cheers

Possibly a faulty bonnet catch

Just an update, ran a scan today and got error 01176 - Key, Sporadic Implausible signal - so i'm going to start by changing the fob battery (cheapest easiest option) as the immobiliser is working fine.
