Hi, I had my drivers window smashed tonight nothing was taken just pure vandalism and wondered if someone has any idea on how much a replacement will cost? Just trying to decide if it's best to do it privately or through insurance?
Thanks

If it was me i would be getting one from someone who breaking a gti, usually around £25-£50, not worth a claim on the insurance imo.
sh*tter about it being vandalised tho, mate
If you decided to get one from a breakers, remeber some of the gti has blue tint window and some didn't.

Sorry to hear mate. Similar happend to my car in a countrylane someone was coming on the otherside so fased and close to the inside hit their mirror against mine and my mirror smashed into my window. I would say ring breakers, look on ebay and on here. As said before make sure you get the right coloured glass. Also make sure you give the car a thorough hoover as there will be bits of glass youll keep finding :indifferent:

You'll be in for a shock , claim on your insurance ?
My son locked his keys in his car a few years ago and for a Mk4 Drivers window was around £250 fitted by autoglass , we bent the top of the door out and bent it back to get in..... Like the thieves do :innocent:
