Title: Labour rates for specialists

what would you say is a reasonable price for labour rates from vw specialists per hour?

Specialist I use charges £33 an hour including vat although I travel 30 miles to get to the. The local grease monkeys charge £40 plus vat.

Think the place I use is £50+VAT (in the South East)

The local VW main dealer here is £90 / hr
Local indy - v good place BTW and with an ex VW trained mechanic - is £75 / hr.......
Those previous prices look so cheap!!!

Not to rub it in or anything but my local vw specalist is £25 p/h  :P

Couldn't dream of paying some of those prices  :surprised:

I can honestly say I've never taken any car of my own to a garage, I always try and have a go myself lol
