Title: Rear mk5 gti brake calipers same as touran?
Post by: AIR_CHILLED on July 08, 2015, 10:06:55 am
Hi,
I'm interested to know if the vw rear calipers on a Touran are the same fitment including handbrake lever mechanism?
The reason I'm asking is that a few sellers on eBay are listing them as one and the same but significantly cheaper!
Visually they look the same (I'm aware the carrier size may be different) but do they have bigger pistons to accommodate passengers etc, like the caddy 2k calipers?

If they are it would be a cheaper mod for anyone looking to replace or upgrade.

Thanks,
Mike.

Great thanks for your reply, I'm guessing piston size and lever / bracket assemble are the same Touran vs gti?

Didn't need to swap anything over apart from carrier correct?
