I fit this aerial. Took 40 mins. Drop the back of lining. I took out rear grab handles to give more room. For new aerial. 22mm spanner. I just rang lead 6m fakra Z down side of roof lining down A post to radio. Very factory looking!

Is it more difficult on a 3 dr? Are there any airbags to watch out for? Did you secure the lead with tape?

Dunno about 3 door suppose will be very similar. Trim under aerial. I pulled both rear side trims down and handles off to make life easier. I did tape to roof along to read door then ran down along the seal/roof lining. Down a post behind glovebox. Used 6 metre fakra z cable. eBay £10. Aerial from VW. £70. Never lost signal yet

I have found some info that the DAB aerial is built into the rear quarterlight window, if this is correct this does my non DAB S5 have the DAB quarterlight window or is there a different quarterlight window i have to order off audi?
Thanks

That's what I used for my DNX525DAB, was a complete pain in the arse to fit, but it has been faultless ever since.

Just buy a window screen mounted one off eBay for £15 and stick it under the dash. Hidden and works perfect I've never lost signal been in for 2 months now

Where under the dash did you put yours? I have had a dab window aerial kicking about for a while but it looks pretty awkawrd to fit. I dont like moving anymore trim than I have to - so if I could put it in underneath somewhere out of sight I would be well pleased.

You know the top tray above the heater vents? I just stuck it to the underside of that :) hidden and don't have to mess about routing the cable just plug it straight into your head unit. Also works perfect as it is near enough by the windscreen anyway!

Done it today and works a treat. Even with the weather lashing and my location in the middle of nowhere, all stations are coming in fine !

Thanks again.

I might try this. It's currently hidden behind the end panel on the end of the passenger side dash.  I get quite a few stations but sometimes drops out / volume lowers.
