Hi guys, so a few months ago I got the
STOP!
Oil pressure
Engine off
Owners manual warning
With 3 beeps.
I then got a new oil pick up pipe fitted, oil change and I think it was also new bearings in the oil pump or something.
That got rid of the light for maybe 3 weeks then it came back.
So I got the oil pressure switch and engine speed sensor/crank sensors replaced and that didn't fix it either.
I have been looking to sell it for a while now but don't think I'll have much chance with the light coming on :(
Anything I'm missing or fixes I haven't tried yet?
Thanks
Grigor

You need to do the job of cleaning the sump etc or the pickup pipe just re-chokes again!
This shows you how

If I was you I'd check if you had this sensor replaced

If the answer is no I would - if it's yes I would have the existing wiring checked for faults and then if that checks out have the sump removed and the pick up pipe rechecked.

Am i right in thinking these engines don't have an oil pressure sensor? hence having to install one if u want an oil pressure gauge.

No I have not had that sensor replaced. I think I will recheck the pick up pipe this weekend and I'm not really clued up on the wiring tbh. So maybe need to get someone to check that

Get an old fashioned oil pressure gauged plumbed in and actually verify the oil pressure - determine if you have a mechanical oil pressure issue, or a sensor/wiring issue
A garage can do this for you
