Title: OEM DAB Roof Aerial
Post by: fletch- on July 10, 2015, 05:50:29 pm
Fitted my RCD510 DAB the other day, and don't like the idea of a windscreen mounted dab aerial! I have seen 6R0035501D however I'm worried it will be a bit chunky. Is there any other polo shark fins that will give me just dab and fm, that are a bit smaller? Many thanks

I went for the A one. Same model part number just ends in A. £70 from VW  Lol.its from polo. Looks much better and more standard to keep chavy theives eyes off the radio from a distance. Lol.

Is that exactly the same as the standard golf one but obviously with DAB? I like the idea of the shark fin one from the polo, but don't know whether it'll look too big for the roof :/

Im gonna follow the guide and put it in the b pillar but as long as the bit after the coil remains straight i guess anywhere would get the job done

Keep the thread updated as I will be doing something similar. Would it work behind the glove box?

I think if your gonna put it behind the dash you would be better off with one of the puck style ones, that would sit under the top grill, i used a bit of velcro to stick my gps antenna to that, completely hidden but perfect signal
