what are the mods which you believe have made a real difference?
I'm planning on doing:
Led lights
Mfsw
Gti seat handles
Boot pop
Aux in/usb
What else do you suggest?

Bit of a tough one to answer, it's quite subjective. Some people want handling, some want power, some want stance, etc.
A stage 1 map will always be a big improvement for little money.
R32 brakes are affordable and do a good job.
RNS510 or similar for tunes, nav etc.
Anti-lift kits help get the power onto the road.
H&R springs give a decent drop and ride nicely - coilovers offer adjustable height, and are great on a track.
Painting the skirts and black plastics on the bumpers tidies the look up.
An aftermarket downpipe with decat/sports cat helps the turbo spool quicker, frees up a bit of power, and sounds good.
K04 turbo and appropriate injectors is a tried and tested means of getting past 300bhp.
The list goes on!!!

Thanks AJP
your right, there does seem to be an almost endless list!! Plenty of opportunities to improve the car.
Would be interested in any particular interior mods which people are really pleased with?

Yes all those other items you can do yourself but the clocks require special software etc although the fitting of the clocks is simple - Ed's the man for those and other jobs if your not into DIY.

Cheers mate, appreciate the advice - can feel a trip to Eddie's coming up!

If you do go and see Ed ask him for a hour of his time to teach you all you need to know about VCDS on code and using for fault finding etc it will done money well spent!

Have you seen the mods section? You can add mods to your profile. See what other members have etc.
