Anyone who has used the VW jack more than once might be interested in the Westfalia Scissor Jack £34.99.
http://www2.westfalia.net/shops/car_accessoires/repair_and_maintenance/tyre_changing/vehicle_jacks/193804-hydraulic_scissor_type_jack_forcars.htm
Mines lowered a bit and it Slipped under OK says 140mm on the box, couple of good pumps to get it up (easy tiger) and twist to lower.
Small enough to keep in the boot but it is quite heavy you my want to strap it down (their I go again). :happy2:

Yes that was the first time I used it  and after a couple weeks of gravel rattling around it went up on the ramps @ AMD for 2 hrs to get it out of the nooks and crannies, and I was proudly presented with this bag.
