Had an MOT recently and was advised that the brake discs/pads need replacing, both front and backs advisable.
Ideally I want to buy them myself and then pay a garage to fit them, no idea what to be looking for and where online, so any advise on which to buy would be amazing!
Thanks in advance

I went for Pagid discs and pads all round and really happy with them to be honest :happy2:

Pagid are good as are Brembo for obvious reasons (Brembo do standard fittings as well as juicy stuff)

If you want OEM pads and discs, give your local TPS depot a call - they often have special promotions on OEM pads and discs.
Search for your nearest depot here : https://www.thetradepartsspecialists.co.uk/ (https://www.thetradepartsspecialists.co.uk/) Be warned though, some depots wont sell to retail customers.
Hope this helps

On the front, and I'll be murdered for this, but I like the Drilled (drilled only, not slotted; they are noisy) MTEC discs and EBC Yellowstuff pads. I've tried loads of combos and I find this one of the best if you want to keep legal with the pads and not change to 345 or NQSBBK or BBK... a fluid change makes a difference too.

thanks for the replies guys....
still bit unsure which to go for, just want decent breaks, like they were originally, not a fortune and then take them to get fitted. Anyone able to link directly to them for sale on a site with ones I should go for?
Also how much should it roughly cost to pay a garage to fit them ?

My vote goes for pagid on the rears, got discs and pads for £84 off euro cart parts, recently it was a bitch to do myself and you new some specialist tools....

I bought some VW pads and discs fro. TPS cost about £180

Are you going to fit them yourself? I would also like advice on brands to recommend has any one used redstuff or ATE discs and pads? For the front, I need to select a brand I want something quality without going crazy and not OEM, my car is stock.
