Hi guys
I posted a few videos regarding my sloppy gears and as the car needs a service next month I am going all out in getting it sorted while at the garage.
When people talk of the 42DD bushes, do they mean all these three sets or just one or two?

Also going to get the eBay short shifter that gets good reviews as the sloppy gearstick is getting me down! (First world problems! Lol)

I think the most important are the last you posted. The others help as well to get a really tight feeling while shifting.
I just fitted the last option you posted and replaced the side lever in plastic for the older metal version. So I just don't have fitted the 1st option you posted. I liked a lot the improvement. :happy2:

What about an S3 short shifter?

@xjay1337 (http://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/index.php?action=profile;u=7542) rated the eBay ones over the S3/edition 30 ones in a post I read with the search function.

I just don't want to spend £70 on bushes I may not need.

Get the 42DD bushes (make sure they are the correct ones for your year of car) and a generic ebay short shifter and look into a metal Seat Lean side/side shifter to replace that one if yours is a crappy plastic one. I'd also recommend a bush/bracket from AKS too, tighten the whole lot together and tighten it all up for a great feel and throw.
All info on all that lot in my thread.
