Title: slow going: the roughly OEM+ project

and added the buttons to my steering wheel.. just need to get it coded in now :happy2:

i quite like it. if you have the radio off you can hear it sucking at anything over about 1/4 throttle but tbh its not that bad lovely little dump valve noises too which lets face it was the main reason i got it :laugh: besides the eventual remap of course

i'm fortunate that with having a DSG steering wheel i only needed to fit the buttons in place of the blanks.. which was good because i dont think i coulda found a steering wheel in as good nick as mine is

went for the 70mm buddy. should be ample enough for where i'm going.. i'd imagine the 90mm kit is really only advantagous to K04 owners or stage 3

for some reason though they highlight just how aweful the black plastic lower bumper is :sick:

just the standard halfords paint i had left over from my old cars. its actually ford panther black metallic :happy2:

. cam follower was just about right to be changed.. was in the first stages of wear. not bad for a car thats done 70k and i assumes never been changed

Also had the car on the rollers and pulled 222.3bhp unmapped which im more than pleased with

Post by: dronners on October 20, 2016, 01:57:39 am: cars now been lowered on volkswagen racing/racingline springs and shocks difference is quite subtle but they do perform better than standard. think i have to do the arch screw mod now as it does rub on hard turns and speed bumps.

i actually did a black rear badge (page 1) but decided i didnt like it

the red badge was just off ebay. and yes the airtec intercooler did come with the red pipes

Picking up an older photo but you have a bit of condensation in the rear left light.

Exact same as mine, I tiny smudge of clear silicone over the crack where the black plastic meets the red plastic and it won't come back!

ironically its the right side light that does it now :doh: its missing a nut that holds the light in though so chances are thats why
