Title: Mk5 GT - R32 Rear Bumper Fitting
Post by: AlexPayne on August 10, 2015, 11:39:48 am
Hi there,

New to the forum and was just wondering about fitting an R32 rear bumper and exhaust to my 2005 2.0FSI, I currently have rear parking sensors and don't quite know how to refit them and what would be involved?

Thanks in advance

From what I remember all you'd need to change after your exhaust has been changed  would be the lower valance

Yep, the top half of the bumper (that houses the sensors) stays put, and you just swap the lower half with the R32 bit.

sorry just had to check, my parking sensors are not factory fitted and they sit on the lower portion of the rear bumper

I'd try and install them in the upper oem position and then fit the R32 lower part. You could fit them to the R32 part but that'd make it harder to sell if/when you go back to standard.

Or you could ditch the sensors altogether and see if they fetch a few quid.
