Heated seats - R32 Recaros
« on: November 06, 2013, 02:50:13 pm »
Hi there,

My car has R32 recaros fitted and was just wondering how I would go about making them heated?

Are they all heated as standard or can I check somehow?

How would I go about getting them plumbed in?

Thanks  :happy2:

There aren't really anything such as "R32 recaros"

Are you on about the RS4 bucket seats or the Leather GTI seats? (Seats are the same between R32 and GTI...)
RS4 buckets were an option on GTI and R32.

If seats are not heated already you'd need to buy some heated seats. Retrofitting the heating things can be just as expensive by the time you've bought some heated seats and resold your non-heated.
You'd need the control panel and some wiring.
Eddie might be able to assist more

The RS4 buckets are different to the R32/GTi/S3/TT buckets.

Generally they all were heated.  Just look under and see if they have a large rectangular black plug on them.  If so then you need wiring looms and the heated seat climate control panel.

Slightly. It's just easier to refer to them as RS4 buckets for ease of use.  :happy2:
I thought they were all heated but not sure.

I thought they were heated also. Did you have heated seats before you fitted them?

Nope, looks like I have a bit of fiddling to do then. They have the black plug on them so that means theyre heated right?

Thanks guys.
