Cheers @maxitrol. I've got in touch with the seller and he's eased my mind regards NOT to chop ot down as the ED30 valance sticks out an inch further so it should be fine.
Your cars the bomb man.  :happy2: what valance is that?.
Your GTI has the same valance, just not painted. :signLOL:
Thanks Shoduchi :signLOL: @AJP  :slap: cheeky monkey  :fighting2:

Hehe, I was just pulling your leg mate!

Just keep your eyes peeled, one will come up. Also the APR pump will do the same job. I think they're even more than a Loba new, but you might get lucky second hand.

You not considered the autotech pump internals?

Hi @Paradox1 read bad review on that particular one. I was thinking about a VIS Motorsport one. £350

There were a load of faulty LOBA pumps a while back causing problems. Not sure if it was just a bad batch or a general problem people are seeing.

There were only a couple of issues and no official line that there was a faulty batch. I'm sure it was the follower that failed, taking the pump etc. with it?

The risk with internals is you have no means to check or adjust tolerances, a lot of variables and unknowns when fitting them to a used pump, not to mention assembling them correctly and cleanly etc..... My money would be on a new LOBA unit personally. Had mine in for around 10k miles now (18 months)

Why would you go for internals from an unheard-of company from somewhere in Europe? They'll be no better than autotech or any other internals supplier

@Dan_FR

In regard to LOBA that's probably right, I don't want to tar their reputation without any facts (there aren't any!) , but I find it odd that the issues would be reported with the focus being on the pump if it was as actually as simple as the follower failing? Also, if someone has gone to the effort of upgrading the pump then surely they would be knowledgeable enough to check/change the follower on a regular basis?

Sorry for spamming up your thread r5gtt but its all helpful!  :innocent:

I was also going to say I thought you didn't compromise on brands/cheap parts r5gtt? :wink:
