lorry modified my golf (new pics)

well today hasnt been the best of days. a lorry decided to modify my golf for me...not to my taste tho

Ouch. Feel for you there mate. My car was reversed into recently in a car park but that is far worse than mine.  :sad1: :sad1:

I hope you and any passengers are all ok. Is the other driver accepting responsibility

yeah i am fine just a little bruising to my ribs and a stiff neck.
to be honest its not really anyones fault we were at a cross roads and the traffic lights were out.
i looked left and looked right and decided to go but as i went i turned round and had a lorry about to hit into the side of my driver door.
so i dont really know who will be put to blame

Dunno with that one. Not sure if you could blame the council or whoever maintains the lights.

Hope you feel better in a few days. I know it's hard but the main thing is your ok. Car can be fixed/replaced.  :happy2:

Holly Sh*t m8 that looks well sore,could off been a lot worse had it nailed your drivers door square on, annoying as it is its only a car,it can be fixed,you cant glad your ok. Speak to the council who own the stretch of road that you were on,as they need to provide the contractors with a permit to work on the road,so you will hopefully find out that way who are responcible for the lights.i censerly hope it works out ok for you and the cars not written off

I had a near miss in similar circumstances. On approach to a major roundabout, I came up the slip road off a dual carriageway. Thought the lights were green and carried onto the roundabout. Car came shooting from the right. Hit the brakes and the BMW driver carried on past. Looked at the lights and they were blank! The entire roundabout had come to a stop because of blank lights. No one dared move.

Sorry to hear about this.  I was nearly wiped out by an HGV about 8 years ago, going round a roundabout just off the M1.  He removed the rear wheel of the mk4 Golf I had at the time with his fully-laden truck and tried to push me round a roundabout in front of him.  My car looked as though someone had had a giant tin-opener on it!  It's not nice when it happens and can make you very wary of traffic when you next go driving (which isn't a bad thing with the numpties that are about these days!).

Anyway, the car was eventually fixed with its new back end after about 6 months (!) and you soon forget about it all.  The main thing is to get to your doctors this morning and get yourself checked out properly - you'll probably be aching more in the next day or so.  Whiplash can be a pain in the neck.  :grin: (sorry - terrible joke!).

As others have said, it makes you realise that your car, even though we all love them on here, is only a lump of metal and plastic and can easily be mended/replaced.  We are flesh and bones and even with the wonders of modern medical techniques, there is still a limit to what we can fix.  :happy2:

Hope it's only bruises, etc and that you get it all sorted out without too much further stress.
