Hello,

My golf appears to have issues with the driver side window. When i hit the switch to put it down/up it makes the noise for a split second but then nothing happens. I've checked the fuse and all ok. The passenger window is fine.

Any ideas what it could be? Where could i start in diagnosing this issue?

Thanks,
Vik

Got access to VCDS?  Start with that.

Could be a relay, the switch itself, something jammed.  Does the window drop if you hold the unlock button on the remote fob?

Other than that, take the door card off and take a look at anything obvious, the motor may have given up the ghost.
